Install and pair
What the install crew sees at the outlet, once per cooler. They fit the tracker, fix the QR, and scan it with a plain phone camera. It opens in the browser, so there is no app to download.
The one step that matters most This is the moment the QR code, the tracker and the cooler become one asset. After this scan, every tracker reading and every check visit lands on the same cooler record, against the same outlet. Get the pairing right here and nothing downstream needs anyone to remember which tracker went into which cooler.

What this records

One install record that joins three things to one outlet:

  • The QR code on the cooler
  • The tracker inside it, confirmed live
  • Nestlé's own asset number for the cooler
  • Outlet and address, from GPS, editable
  • The cooler's home zone, set automatically
  • Photos of the cooler and of the fitted tracker
  • Installer, date and time
Ties to your asset register The cooler is recorded against the asset number Nestlé already carries in its books, so every report reads back the identity Nestlé knows. The QR and the tracker are ways to reach that asset, not new numbers to reconcile.
Home zone The outlet's location becomes the cooler's home. If the tracker later reports the cooler outside that zone, Nestlé gets an alert. The size of the zone is a setting, so a cooler in a busy market lane is not flagged for a few metres of drift.
Existing and new coolers The pilot fits trackers to coolers already in outlets, so pairing happens here, in the shop. For new coolers fitted at the factory, the QR and tracker can be paired on the line, and the install crew only confirms the outlet.

Where the two levels live on the cooler

TRACKER 1 2 Chocolate visicooler in the outlet
  • 1 QR code · Level 1, on the outside Fixed to the front of the cooler where anyone standing at it can scan. It stays with the cooler for life, so the same code serves the install today and every check visit after.
  • 2 Tracker · Level 2, on the inside Fitted out of sight inside the cooler and wired to the cooler's own power supply. It needs no battery changes, and it knows the moment the cooler loses power.
Why wired in, not stuck on A tag that is simply stuck to a cooler can be peeled off and left behind in the shop while the cooler goes elsewhere, and the system would still show the cooler as present. A tracker wired inside the cooler cannot be left behind quietly: cutting it out cuts its power, and that raises an alert.
