The whole point
Today a cooler's bad night only surfaces when someone next walks into the shop. This
screen shows the state of every cooler now, from the trackers, beside what the last
visit found, from the QR checks. Overnight, one cooler was unplugged and moved 1.2 km,
one lost power at dawn, and one started running warm. All three are on screen before
anyone has set foot in the shops.

Healthy means powered, inside its home zone, and, where the tracker measures it, within the temperature range Nestlé sets. Shown here as 12 to 18°C, for illustration.

One cooler's night · NC-03, both levels working together
- 3 Nov 11:20QRInstalled and paired at Annai Bakery, Anna Nagar. Home zone set to 150 m.
- 17 Nov 16:05QRCheck visit: on, cooling, glass intact, only Nestlé stock, front of shop.
- 24 Nov 01:58L2Power lost. Tracker switches to its backup battery and keeps reporting.
- 02:06L2Movement detected while unpowered.
- 02:10L2Left its home zone. Alert raised.
- 02:41L2Stopped 1.2 km away, in Shanthi Colony.
- 02:55L2Power back on at the new location. Cooling again.
- 07:00!Area sales officer alerted with the new address, and a check visit requested.
- NextQRRep scans the cooler where it now stands. The scan records the new outlet, a photo and the reason it moved.
Why it takes both
The tracker saw that the cooler moved, when, and exactly where it
went. It cannot say why: re-sited by a distributor, taken to the
owner's second shop, or something worse. The QR check visit answers that,
from where the cooler actually stands.
Basic tracker, same night
A basic tracker reports for about 20 minutes after the power goes. Here it
would have flagged the power loss and the start of the move, then gone quiet
until the cooler was plugged in again at 02:55, when it reports the new
location. Nestlé still learns where the cooler went, just without the
route.

A number nobody has today
Because the tracker runs off the cooler's own supply, it knows every hour the
cooler was on. NC-04 is switched off for about ten hours every night, which the
owner confirmed when the rep asked at the last visit. A routine daytime visit would never have spotted it on its own,
and the stock inside spends those hours unchilled.
Where this goes next
From 10 coolers to 1,000
The pilot proves the two levels on coolers already in the trade. At rollout, the
same codes, trackers and dashboard scale to hundreds of coolers across cities, with
alerts routed to each area's own sales officer. New coolers can arrive from the
factory with the tracker fitted and the QR already paired, so the install crew only
confirms the outlet.
